The Owners of the Wando River Marina & Grill have long had a vision of providing an enjoyable and accessible Wando River waterfront experience for visitors and residents alike. Accomplishing this goal has taken over a decade of effort beginning with the land acquisition. Before the current owners acquired the property, the land surrounding the Marina was slated to be a private development with no public docks or access. The Owners worked with federal and state regulators for several years to gain approval for a marina accessible to the boating public with dock rental and restaurant access. The marina’s slips can accommodate vessels ranging from small runabouts to large yachts. With completion of the new Highway 41 Wando River Bridge, vessels that were unable to reach the Marina can now do so. The Marina facilities include a free pump out, restrooms, electricity and water at each slip, and a recently completed fuel dock with both non-ethanol gas and diesel. Visitors arriving by boat to dine at the Wando River Grill can tie up for free at the designated docks. The Marina also has a Marina Store stocked with cold beer, soda, wine, and an assortment of candy, snacks, and marina apparel.
